Job Summary
Fenris is seeking a Strategic Accounts Manager to own the customer relationship journey from land to expand and renew. This role can support pre-sales but focuses on post-sales and long-term account growth, ensuring that clients feel supported, informed, and successful in using our data within their platform and workflows. You will be the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, responsible for setting up their API access, understanding their success metrics and their use case(s), and proactively managing the relationship to drive retention and expansion opportunities.
You are responsible for retaining and growing the existing base of clients and will collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing to deliver a seamless customer experience, be able to relate data and predictive intelligence to better outcomes, and advise clients on best practices and actionable solutions. This is a hands-on, subject matter expert role, for someone who enjoys building trust, solving problems, contributing to topline growth, and making an impact on client success.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts after the initial sale.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including creating user accounts, configuring product API access, setting up billing, confirming contract details, mapping the account for future expansion opportunities, monitoring usage and negotiating multi-year renewal contracts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers through regular check-ins, strategic business reviews, proactive communication, and step in to own and remediate any issues that arise.
- Act as the customer advocate internally, ensuring client feedback is communicated to Product and Support teams and following up diligently on any questions or concerns.
- Monitor account health, usage, and satisfaction to identify potential risks and opportunities for upsell or cross-sell, and negotiate renewals for multi-year terms.
- Partner with Sales to ensure a smooth handoff from pre-sale to post-sale activities, and maintain accurate account information and activity tracking in CRM and other internal systems.
- Develop and deliver reports, presentations, and recommendations to clients on how to optimize their use of Fenris’ data and predictive AI solutions.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in account management, customer success, or client services, preferably in SaaS, insurtech, or data/analytics industries.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships with responsibility for achieving multiple million dollar revenue and retention targets with strategic accounts.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities, and a focus on keeping documentation up to date and clearly communicating between the team and with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, and knowledge of APIs, insurance data, proposal generation, and positive negotiation skills.
- Proactive problem solver who can anticipate challenges and act quickly to resolve them, creating process improvements and engaging teammates to quickly and efficiently solve problems, while learning from them and instilling them into institutional knowledge for future success.
- Experience with CRM platforms like hubspot is a plus.
