Our Data

API Integration

The Fenris APIs are designed to be easy to integrate. Wherever possible, open standards are used to manage communication, authentication, and content. All APIs are based on HTTPS using TLS 1.2 or later. Authentication uses the client credentials flow of OAuth2. The content of all requests and responses uses JSON.

These standards are supported “out of the box” by most programming environments, meaning most clients can integrate with our system in a matter of hours, allowing them to focus on mapping our responses to your business processes. Our team is readily available to help with mapping when needed, however, we have found that most clients can get up and running with our documentation and free-to-use developer data.

The developer data is a dataset with fictitious values that are coded into our system. Developers can use this data to create integration tests. Since there is no real Personal Identifiable Information (PII) used, this data is safe to use with overseas development teams or other situations where real data is inappropriate.

A typical integration flow will involve testing the API endpoints using our documentation and developer data, developing an initial implementation of the endpoint into a system using the developer data, and then putting the implementation into production where live data can pass through the Fenris API endpoints. Read more by visiting our API Documentation.

SOC2 Compliance

The APIs are based on modern, cloud-based architectures that allow scaling and high availability. Each tier in the architecture is individually scalable, and we have delivered responses at rates of over 1 million per day. The services are implemented with AWS Elastic Container Service using AWS Fargate. The architecture is based on an event-driven design to enhance the monitoring and audibility of the system.

The Fenris APIs are designed for real-time performance and reliability. In addition to our focus on scalability and responsiveness, Fenris is committed to data security and privacy, including maintaining SOC2 compliance and working with customers to ensure best practices are followed on both sides.
